things i'd rather be doing...
i hate to miss a party with such a pretty invitation....than sneezing. tonight (as in like, RIGHT NOW tonight, so find your raincoat STAT) from 6-9 at napoleon, listopad (with help from DJ jerome baker III) celebrate the launch of their new collaboration. expect perfectly culled vintage and pieces hand-stamped with ephemeral designs. if your night (like mine) is going to revolve around children's dimetapp and top chef don't worry - you can head to listopad at mercedes bien this weekend and check it out then.
this reminds me of camille rose garcia, except not all morbid and shit.
MICA is hosting its second annual art market this week; featuring screenprints, illustrations, ceramics, books, and fiber/wearable art all made by those hardworking MICA kids. from the looks of the vendor list it'll be well worth the drive to baltimore - my faves include the above drawing by becca stadtlander and this alphabet necklace by natalie jacob. the market is open 10-6 daily on the MICA campus and runs through this saturday. just in time for your (my) head cold to clear.
