Photographer Avi Gupta (you know him), has a solo exhibition - "lonesum" - opening this Friday at Civilian Art Projects. From the Civilian site: "Framing static moments with an eye that seeks parts to a whole, Gupta explains that 'the sum of these parts reflect the weight of a residual cosmic loneliness found in everyday situations.'” YES YES YES YES YES. I'm thrilled to see his work IN REAL LIFE, and am especially excited to see the paper-towels-on-white-backgrounds "Daily Paper" series, which includes all of that above amazingness.
lonesum: Oct. 26 (w/reception 7-9PM) - Dec. 1, 2012, at Civilian Art Projects.
