an unkindness.

This week I had the (for real) pleasure of attending the preview of the Corcoran's Mia Feuer: An Unkindness, and I just could not have loved the show more. Each of Feuer's pieces are staggeringly HEAVY, and dealing with "the relationships between failed human infrastructure, the natural world, and environmental catastrophe." Above, a replica of a lighting fixture seen in a community center in the long-abandoned mining town of Piramiden.

Opening tomorrow (during Community Day - meaning free admission for the masses, and a ton of additional activities), more on An Unkindness can be read here and here.
