HOW DO YOU DO: THE PETAL PUSHER

Tart and just a tiny-bit-flowery, the Petal Pusher is a Spring cocktail featuring Hendrick's Gin, fresh grapefruit juice, and a dash of rosewater – and it's a mere third of the recipe for a perfect afternoon with YR LADIES + GENTS. It was dreamt up specifically to be paired with baker + folklorist Emily Hilliard's Lemon-Lavender Meringue Pie Cookies (tell me that meringue + gin isn't your new favorite couple and I WILL BEG TO DIFFER), and served with artist + illustrator Elizabeth Graeber's gorgeous/bright/fun handmade table runner as centerpiece.

THE PETAL PUSHER
2 oz Hendrick's Gin
2 oz freshly squeezed Pink Grapefruit Juice
1/4 capful Rose Water
a splash Sparkling Water

Combine Hendrick's, Grapefruit Juice, and Rose Water in a shaker with ice, and shake gently. Strain into a glass and add a splash of Sparkling Water.
