A CREATIVE DC: STREET STYLE AT BCFEST

This weekend the #aCreativeDC Instagram feed was F I L L E D with imagery from the third annual Broccoli City Festival, and I was glad to be there to take it in. Held at the Gateway D.C. Pavilion (formerly/more commonly known as St. Elizabeth's), and hosted by Rock Creek Social Club, the ~ P O S I T I V E  V I B E Z ~ (despite/in spite of the weather) were incredible.

I spent most of my time under the pavilion, wandering through live art curated by BL_NK WORLD (way on board with their "Celebrate the Uncelebrated" tagline), and checking out booths helmed by the DCCAH, GLOSSRAGS, Whole Foods, and various other retail, vintage, and art/craft vendors. The marketplace aspect was what made it truly feel local (it helped that the One Love Massive-sponsored side stage was located on the far end). re: MUSIC FESTIVAL, the style-watching was on point, with Coachella-inspired garb few and far between. In its place? Badu masks + backpacks; leather jackets, black hats + hoodies: pure D.C.

SEE ALSOBYT has a great write up of the day/performances, there's more style coverage over on Moonrise District, and MITDistrict has some seriously amazing BTS videos + interview snippets on their Instagram feed (with the longform components coming soon to their YouTube channel).
